2011

2011-2012            Gboze is pleased to participate in the Pioneer Center for the Arts' Youth

                            Programs for 2011-2012. We will be performing at libraries and schools

                            throughout the Reno-Tahoe area.

Dec 17, 2011           African Night Drum and Dance Potluck at the River School!  FREE!  Come join

                                   us for a night of drumming and dancing and food!  Bring a drum and see

                            performances by the Gboze Wednesday night class students!

2010

Dec 2010              Gboze teaches a special Djossi drum/dance workshop at Achieve Fitness Center!

Nov 10, 2010        Special performance at the First United Methodist Church in San Leandro,

                           CA - a benefit show for the local African community.  Featuring a special

                           balafon performance.

Aug 7, 2010          Lalea!  Show at the River School in Reno.  Performances with the Reno Taiko

                            (Tsurunokai) drummers and Liz Broscoe!  Click for Photos.

2009

Aug 18, 2009       Lalea!  A show where everyone can join in the fun!!!  Guest performance

                           by the Reno Taiko Japanese drummers.  Authentic drumming and dancing

                           from the Cote d'Ivoire!  River School, Reno. 

Jun 27, 2009       Senin show at the University of Nevada, Reno!  A reunion show featuring

                          professional drummers and dancers from the Cote d'Ivoire who were brought

                          together for the first time in many years.  The show featured mask dances

                          from various regions of the country, including a stilt dance (Echassier), Boloye

                          panther dance from Korhogo, and the famous Zaouli mask dance.
